  • Start by assembling your ingredients. You will need ripe avocados, your choice of cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella), whole grain bread, and a butter substitute such as olive oil.

Mash the Avocado

  • In a bowl, mash the ripe avocados with a fork. Add a pinch of salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of garlic powder for extra flavor.

Prepare the Bread

  • Take two slices of whole grain bread. Spread a thin layer of olive oil on one side of each slice.

Assemble the Sandwich

  • On the un-oiled side of one slice, generously spread the mashed avocado mixture. Then, layer your cheese on top. Finally, place the second slice of bread on top, oiled side facing out.
