Ingredients
  

Brownie Base

  • 1 box brownie mix or homemade brownie batter

Cheesecake Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder optional for added richness
  • a pinch salt

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.

Brownie Mix

  • Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions or use your favorite homemade brownie recipe.

Cheesecake Mixture

  • In a separate bowl, blend cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Layering

  • Pour half of the brownie batter into the greased pan, spread the cheesecake mixture over it, and top with the remaining brownie batter. Swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
