Instructions
Preparation
Start by cutting 1 pound of chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. This will ensure even cooking and make it easy to enjoy.
Marinate
In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup of fresh orange juice, 1/4 cup of low-sodium soy sauce, and 1/4 cup of honey. Add the chicken pieces to this mixture, ensuring they are well-coated. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Sauté the Chicken
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken pieces, discarding the marinade. Sauté the chicken for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Thicken the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Once the chicken is cooked, add this mixture to the skillet. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens, which should take about 2-3 minutes.
Serve
Once the sauce has thickened, remove the skillet from heat. Serve your Orange Chicken hot over a bed of fluffy steamed rice or alongside stir-fried vegetables. Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.
