Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. You’ll need fresh chicken breasts, cremini mushrooms, minced garlic, diced onion, low-sodium chicken broth, and olive oil. Having everything ready will make the cooking process smoother.

Sautéing

  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the diced onion and minced garlic. SautĂ© them for about 2-3 minutes, or until they become fragrant and the onion turns translucent.

Cooking Mushrooms

  • Next, add the sliced cremini mushrooms to the skillet. Cook them for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. You’ll notice they will release moisture and become tender.

Browning Chicken

  • Now, it’s time to add the chicken breasts. Season them with salt and pepper, then place them in the skillet. Brown the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side.

Adding Broth
