Ingredients
  

Fresh Fish Fillets

  • 4 fillets Cod, Salmon, or Tilapia Choose your preferred type of fish.
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor.

Citrus Flavor Enhancers

  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest Grated from the outer skin of the lemon.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter Alternative Olive oil or plant-based butter.

Aromatics and Seasoning

  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.

Instructions
 

Prepare the Fish

  • Start by rinsing your fresh fish fillets under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels.

Season Generously

  • Season both sides of the fish fillets with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Heat the Skillet

  • In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil or your preferred butter substitute over medium heat.

Add Aromatics

  • Add minced garlic and lemon zest to the skillet. Sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.

Cook the Fish

  • Carefully place the seasoned fish fillets in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Finish with Lemon Juice

  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fillets as they cook.

Serve Immediately

  • Remove the fish from the skillet and transfer to a serving plate. Drizzle any remaining lemon-garlic oil over the top.
